Mad about Plaid!

Plaid has been trending for quite some time now and I am OBSESSED. It's one of those prints that are extremally versatile and can fit in to what ever style you're feeling. And man have their been options this season, there was everything from sexy plaid at Dolce and Gabbana to lady like at Celine. Though, when it comes to plaid the look I love incorporating is 90's grunge!

Think Kurt Cobain! Hair should be messy and skin should be bare or do a dark lip! Don't be afraid to play with textures and prints and most importantly; layer, layer layer!

Product Review: Dove Hair Fall Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner

As I mentioned earlier, Dove recently sent me their new Hair Fall Rescue range to review. This is a two week treatment that claims to treat hair fall and strengthen roots. So each time I use one of the products, I’m going to try and update you guys!

Firstly, let me tell you guys a little bit about my hair (Warning: Today’s post may seem a bit self-obsessed). Typically, my hair is dry and I do feel that when I’m stressed or skipping out on meals my hair tend to fall. I also don’t spend much time styling my hair and prefer to leave them down naturally. That’s why it’s really important for me to keep my hair looking thick and healthy.

So I started the treatment with the Dove Hair Fall Rescue shampoo and conditioner. Usually I don’t use conditioners as much because I feel like they make my hair too heavy and flat. But I didn’t experience that at all this time. I am also, IN LOVE with the shampoo. I love how my hair gets after I use it. It just feels super healthy and voluminous.

I first used the shampoo and conditioner last Sunday and since then have used the shampoo every alternate day (I plan on using the conditioner only once a week). I can’t say whether my hair fall has decreased or not, since that’s something I can probably only decide after two weeks, after using all their products. But my hair definitely feels a lot healthier and less temperamental now! Also, best way you know something’s working is if you’ve been receiving compliments, which has definitely been happening!

Product Review: Dove Hair Fall Rescue

Recently I recieved an amazing box set by Dove to review their new Hair Fall Resuce range. The range that claims to treat hair fall in just 2 weeks includes a Shampoo, Conditioner, Mask, Combing Serum and Intensive Root Treatment.

I've always been a huge fan of all Dove products and am super excited to see how this treatment turns out. I will keep updating you guys with how things turn out, so stay posted on my blog to find out more! :)

Alexa and Kate

Poster girls for downtown glamour, Alexa Chung and Kate Bosworth, both have amazing style. These girls are always on-trend and super cool when it comes to their fashion choices. Here are some looks they rocked this week:

1. STREETSTYLE CHIC: While Alexa built up her look with a sequenced skirt and a chunky sweater, Kate kept things plain and simple in an all black attire. Though both outfits are very different, there is a sense of ease and comfort to their looks, making them perfect for a day out.

SKIRT STORIES: Showing off their pins in flashy skirts, both girls prove how keeping focus on just one piece will ensure that all the attention stays on you!

TIP: Notice how their shoes match their tops, so that the skirts really stand out.

EMBELLISHED: Already a major trend for the coming season, Alexa and Kate know that a little embellishment goes a long way.

THE MINI: Keeping accessories on the low, these girls stand out in their minis, whether embroidered or in a solid colour!

Best Dressed!

Here are some of the best dressed stars of the week:

1. Allison Williams is beautiful and this black Dior gown looks amazing on her. I love that she tied her hair back and kept her makeup light, so as to really highlight her shoulders and the shape of her gown.

2. Anja Rubik has the perfect 90's look and this slinky Jason Wu gown matches her style perfectly. I especially love that she didn't add any accessories. Also, how amazing is her tan?

3. This strapless yellow Dior dress looks amazing against Carey Mulligan's ivory skin and the pop of red to the lips adds the right amount of contrast. I do wish she wore different shoes though!

4. Kate Bosworth looks super cute in this piece by Chirstian Dior. The colour goes great with her skin tone and the pinned back hair makes her look fresh yet sophisticated!

5. I love Elizabeth Moss's style! She experiments with different looks and always manages to keep her outfits edgy and on-trend, just like she did this time with this Chloe number!

6. Miroslava Duma is so cute! Everything she wears fits her pefectly and is super trendy. I love that she takes risks with her outfits and with this monochromatic look she once again proves how her risks always come through!

7. Eva Mendes is hot! Denim on denim, voluminous hair, sexy boots; all this and she's just walking her dog!

Side note: Who do you think is luckier? Eva Mendes or Ryan Gosling?

8. Another celebrity whose streetstyle smart? Olivia Palermo! Infact, when it comes to streetstyle, she's one of my favourites. Her look here, is comfortable yet fashionable. The stripes on stripes are perfectly on trend and I love how the red bag pops against the outfit. And those shoes? Well they're just an added bonus!
